The Crocs brand was founded in 2002 by Scott Seamons, Lyndon "Duke" Hanson and Geroge Boedecker, Jr. The first model produced by Crocs, 'the Beach', went up for auction at the Fort Lauderdale Boat Show in Florida in 2002 and at this point 200 pairs of Crocs were sold out.
